The Food Bank and Crisis Fund

no one in this community should go hungry or have to worry about keeping the lights on.

The Crisis Fund works alongside the Bragg Creek Food Bank for area residents: to provide additional help to those who need more than a food hamper (such as fresh produce, etc.).

We also use it for financial assistance to pay small household bills (gas, electric, etc.) Funds raised will be only used for Crisis Fund needs, no other operations.

Hands at Work Africa

RaceCourse Community

in Zambia

IMG_7400.JPG
HandsLOGO.png

Hands at Work is striving to reach the most vulnerable children in communities across Africa where HIV/AIDS, children who have lost parents/caregivers, and poverty are at overwhelming levels. Through regular home visits, local Care Workers ensure that vulnerable children remain in homes within their community and have access to basic health care, food and education. Additionally, the involvement of committed Care Workers surround these children with love and security, helping to build resilience in fragile communities to withstand challenging circumstances.

Racecourse in Zambia is one of these communities and BCCC has partnered with Hands at Work to walk alongside through financial support, prayer, and team visits. $25/month ensures these local care workers are mentored and supported, as well as have the tools they need to provide 1 child with access to food security, basic health care and education.

Please send Melissa an email if you would like to learn more, or to contribute to the work in Racecourse.
